EXTENSION CARRIAGE EC 80 WITH RAMMER HAMMER 5011
EPDM - Drilling and Mining Company performs modeling and movement of land, underground and surface mining exploration underground drilling and development of underground galleries. Provision of mining engineering services and other services related to mining works.
Having been present for several years in the mining operations of Aljustrel and Neves Corvo with Sandvik equipment, and following their experience and productivity gains of using a Sandvik Underground Loader equipped with a Rammer Extension Carriage, "EC", EPDM stated the interest in the acquisition of a new set to apply to be used on their Sandvik LH514.
As Rammer is one of the world's leading manufacturers of these spindle assembling systems, and with several units working in Portugal, namely in the mines in Aljustrel and Neves Corvo, EPDM, has acquired another Rammer EC 80 unit with Rammer Hammer 5011.
This set consists of a special and reinforced hammer support kit in place of the front bucket of the loader, and is very useful for cleaning roofs and gallery walls after bursting at front work , and often for fragmentation of blocks in the mouth in primary crushers , minimizing downtime and shutdown due to possible jamming of the primer.
The EC 80 and 5011 KIT was supplied with Radio Remote Control for better operator safety as he can make all movements within range of the hammer's operating area without being in the cab.
The main features of this set, the largest in the World assembled so far, with so large hammer, are its weight of 2900 kg, the range of 800 mm, and its versatility.
The Rammer 5011 hammer weighing 4750 kg, with 370 to 620 strokes per minute, working pressure from 160 to 170 bar, is able to perfectly deliver all demands on the work front at the mine for a significant increase in production, and safety at work.
