Rammer R45P fitted with the RD3 breaks blue granite in Portugal
The most recent customer for Rammer hammers, Britafiel, has as its main activity the extraction and transformation of granite mineral masses - aggregates and ornamental rocks.
The Company exploration is carried out in “Pedreira de Vilar”, Duas Igrejas Village - Penafiel, a place well known by the sector as an area of excellence for the extraction of blue granite stone of superior quality.
In addition to exploitation for commercial purposes, Britafiel developed a project especially directed to the decoration of outdoor spaces, STOCO- Natural Creative Granite Technology.
The company invested in equipment that allows high levels of productivity, even in the most demanding situations, with proven reliability and durability, technologically modern and adapted to the highest quality standards and the requirements of current European legislation. Britafiel has the most modern crushing equipment, enabling products with high quality indexes to be obtained, which is one of the areas with major importance in this type of industry and fundamental to the success of any organization.
Before the decision to purchase the Rammer Performance R45P hammer with the RD3 remote monitoring device, the company used others hammer brands, which were also competing for the supply of a new unit. The choice made by its General Director, Eng. Francisco Guimarães, was mainly due to Rammer's reputation in other Quarries Exploration Areas, but manly to the RD3 monitoring system (RAMADATA III), because all the Rammer hammers that have this system, the customer can see online several information about the hammer, such as: location, working hours, maintenance intervals, periods of use, etc., which is not new in Portugal, but was one of the manly reasons to choose Rammer. This was confirmed by General Director, since from his office he obtained information from the R45P hammer that was working in one of the quarry's benches without having to go to see the hours of work and all other desired information.
Also influencing was the fact that Rammer is represented by Cimertex SA, where assistance, parts and services are available whenever necessary.
